Cedar Ridge Distillery partners with Indiana Fever on bourbon

Cedar Ridge Distillery has partnered with the WNBA's Indiana Fever to release a limited-edition straight bourbon whiskey, according to CBS2 Iowa.

The collaboration connects the Linn County distillery, located at 1441 Marak Road in Swisher, with the professional basketball franchise. According to Cedar Ridge's product page, Iowa customers could begin purchasing the co-branded bourbon at the distillery starting July 24 at 11 a.m. Central time.

For fans in Indiana, the release plan includes initial availability through Indiana Liquor Group locations, including Noble Wine & Spirits, before expanding to select Kroger stores and liquor retailers throughout the state. According to Cedar Ridge, the Indiana rollout was set to begin the week of July 27, though reporting by the Corridor Business Journal placed the initial Indiana Liquor Group availability during the week of July 20.

"At Cedar Ridge, we’ve always believed that great things come from deep roots and hard work," Jamie Siefken, president of Cedar Ridge Distillery, said in a release covered by the Corridor Business Journal. "Watching the Indiana Fever captivate the sports world with that exact same Midwestern grit has been inspiring."

Terry Tiernon, senior vice president of corporate partnerships for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, told the Corridor Business Journal that the collaboration brings together two brands embodying a hardworking regional spirit.

"The limited-edition bourbon gives our fans another opportunity to connect with the team while supporting a regional brand that shares our commitment to high quality and excellence," Tiernon said.
